We had such a good time in Mexico last February, we decided to return again this year. We were in the same general
area as last year (the stretch of Caribbean coast about an hour south of Cancun known as the Riviera Maya) but we stayed at
a different resort. This year, our room had a balcony overlooking the ocean from which we enjoyed beautiful sunrises
(last photo, below). But most of our photos are from our visit to the Mayan ruins at Tulum. We were told they
wouldn't be nearly as dramatic as the ruins we visited last year at
Chichen Itza, but I have to say, they were far more impressive than I was expecting, plus their seaside location only added to the
drama.
