This short-lived but innovative Celtic/world-beat group featured Fred Willson on mandolin and guitar, David
Molinari on guitar and accordion, and myself on percussion. On occasion, we added a fiddle player to the lineup
for that extra burst of musical energy.
While grounded in the traditional Irish style, our performances often incorporated a number of other
musical influences. There was also an improvisational element to many of our live performances which could take on the
characteristics of a "jam band" on occasion. It was this willingness to stretch the boundaries of the genre that
distinguished Deally Bob from other Celtic bands.
The link below will take you to a folder containing several downloadable tunes. They were recorded
in my studio so they're a bit more formally "produced" than our live performances, but I think they still possess some
real energy and creativity. But I'll let you decide for yourself -- check 'em out!
While Deally Bob doesn't exist anymore, you may want to check
out An Dro, Fred Willson's current Celtic/worldbeat project, which has inherited many of the same boundary-stretching qualities.
Also check out David Molinari's current musical enterprises, which vary in musical style but are always injected with energy and creativity.
